Former Czechoslovakia Virtual Pilgrimage

Beauty of Czech Republic and Slovakia

Today’s Czech Republic and Slovakia formed a Central European country called Czechoslovakia between 1918 and 1992. The Czechs and Slovaks liked each other, shared history, culture and language. The country  peacefully split up in the early 1990ties and since 1993 there have been two countries – Czech Republic or Czechia if you wish and Slovakia. Many people however still call it Czechoslovakia. While some Czechs and Slovaks might feel offended over the fact we prefer to show you the beauty and uniqueness of the region! There are many amazing places, wonderful countryside and breathtaking scenery, the loveliest off the beaten path historical towns and majestic castles. The position in Central Europe makes it a perfect and easily accessible starting point for travelling adventures of any kind.

Do you enjoy natural beauty? Mountains, lakes, meadows, tranquility? Do you wish to visit picturesque towns and mighty castles? Or do you prefer visiting cities such as Prague that is a gem protected by the UNESCO? Czech Republic and Slovakia can offer all that. And on top of that you can easily connect your trip to these countries with a visit to Vienna, Salzburg, Budapest, Dresden, Munich and many other places.
